Fascinating and well-researched read. I was put on an SSRI as a young adult entering college. Apparently, serotonin levels increase in just 24 hours on such a drug. But most people feel worse. I certainly did. Benefits were felt after 4 weeks, which is when BDNF is increased through other mechanisms. After reading this, it was possibly allopregnenolone. Thank you for contributing to this important topic.
