Acute urinary tract infections (“UTIs”) can be bothersome and if left untreated could lead to further complications and thus should be dealt with once symptoms appear. For a severe UTI, it makes sense to go to the doctor and receive an antibiotic, however, this is often unnecessary. Using antibiotics for UTIs can possibly lead to other issues such as fungal/yeast infections and they might make it more likely to have a recurrent UTI. Luckily there are many natural and over-the-counter remedies someone can use to get rid of a UTI and to prevent them from happening in the first place. Similarly, the symptoms of a UTI are often very similar to the symptoms of a yeast infection, but the remedies for yeast infections are slightly different.
